Electrical Inspections
Technoserve has both registered Installation Electricians and a Master Electrician, which means we are able to undertake any electrical installation, and on completion we are registered through the Department of Manpower, through their appointed representative the ECA, to test and sign a certificate of compliance. After testing and checking the electrical installation, a full report will be made and issued to the customer.
Qualified and registered Electricians are classified into three categories:
Tester for Single Phase | Installation Electrician | Master Electrician

Tester for Single Phase:
Electrical tester for "single phase” means a person who has been registered as an electrical tester for single phase in terms of regulation 13 and who has been approved by the chief inspector for the verification and certification of the construction, testing and inspection of electrical installations supplied by a single phase electricity supply, excluding specialized electrical installations.
Installation Electrician:
installation electrician” means a person registered as an installation electrician in terms of regulation 13 who has been approved by the chief inspector for the verification and certification of the construction, testing and inspection of any electrical installation, excluding specialized electrical installations.
Master Electrician:
Master Installation Electrician” means a person who has been registered as a master installation electrician in terms of regulation 13 and who has been approved by the chief inspector for the verification and certification of the construction, testing and inspection of any electrical installation.
Issuing of certificate of compliance:
All work undertaken on a new or existing electrical installation, must be tested and conform to SANS1042
If any faults are detected, a detailed report will be made to the customer (in this case testing an existing installation) and on a new installation only
a qualified Installation Electrician may sign off the Compliance Certificate.
