Safety modules
Preventa safety modules are used to monitor circuits including various components such as emergency stop pushbuttons, safety guard limit switches, etc.

They provide two key features which help ensure safety: dual channel redundancy, which ensures that a single fault does not lead to loss of the safety function, and cyclic monitoring, which provides detection of the first fault by monitoring the correct operation of the safety components at each cycle.

Guard and limit switches
Used to monitor movement of conveyors, doors,
guards, etc. limit switches for safety applications
are usually of the positive acting type, that is actuation
of the device forces apart the normally closed contacts even
if the contacts are welded.

Guard switches are available in either a double insulated plastic housing or a robust metal housing, with or without
solenoid locking, having a variety of actuator types.

Light curtains
Designed for the protection of persons operating or working
in the vicinity of machinery, by stopping dangerous movement
of parts as soon as one of the light beams is broken.

These replace the use of doors or mechanical guards reducing
the time required for loading, inspection or adjustment operations, as well as making access easier.

Emergency Stop pushbuttons
Used either in control stations or as part of a control panel, an emergency stop pushbutton is used to stop a machine quickly and safely.

Trigger action or non-teasing emergency stop pushbuttons are designed to ensure that the mechanism moves 'over centre' concurrent with the normally closed contacts changing state. This is a requirement of BSEN418.

Two hand control stations
These ergonomically designed control stations, used in conjuntion with an XPSB Preventa safety module, protect machine operators against industrial accidents and, with the provision of a support bar, allows operation in a number of positions reducing the occurance of occupational illnesses associated with repetitive movements of the hand.

Trip wire switches
Trip wire switches provide the same function as several emergency stop pushbuttons. In this case, a single trip wire switch, triggered by a wire rope, can be operated at any point along a linear path which can be as long as 100 metres.
Foot switches
Providing an ideal solution for providing start and stop instructions for many types of industrial machines for many types of industrial machines , running in various modes:
- normal (pulsed) start
- inching
- hold to run

Available with a trigger mechanism, requiring a positive ation to allow pedal operation, or without. A protective guard may also be fitted.

Beacons and sirens
Beacons provide high power signalling over long
distances for especially suitable for use in environment
with a high background noise. Choices include steady lights, "flash" discharge and rotating mirror types.

Buzzer units can be incorporated into an indicator bank,
or a higher power siren used where an audible
alarm is needed.
