Earth Leakage detectors for IEC applications

Rockwell Automation introduces a line of Residual Current Devices for earth leakage detection to the standards of IEC. The Allen-Bradley 1492-RCD is a line of devices to be used in association with miniature circuit breakers (1492-SP). These devices are designed according to IEC/EN 61008 and approved by VDE.

Industrial applications often require earth leakage detection in addition to overload and short circuit protection. The Bulletin 1492-RCD Residual Current Devices can detect earth leakage current and open the connected circuit to protect people and equipment.

Flexibility

With a wide range of currents and rated trip current available, the appropriate level of protection can be chosen for specific applications for either personnel or equipment protection.

Space Saving Design

35 mm wide for 2 pole and 70 mm wide for 4 pole devices.

Simplified Maintenance

The red/green flags (4 pole) and toggle position identify the localized tripped devices so troubleshooting can be done quickly. (Large Test (yellow) button to exercise device).
